Letter from Alfred Edwin Howard Tutton, to Arthur William Rucker, regarding a paper 'The thermal deformation of the crystallised normal sulphates of Potassium, Rubidium, and Caesium' by Alfred Edwin Howard Tutton
Reference number: RR/14/261
Date: 04 April 1899

Description
Disagrees with the opinions of the referees as regards optical relationships. Refers to Paul Heinrich von Groth. Some explanations have been provided in his papers in the Journal of the Chemical Society. Believes the referee does not agree with the way he has set forth his results, and comments that his method has been commended by others. Mr Harrison can undertake changes to the demonstration so as not to delay printing. Agrees that the discussion could have formed a separate paper, but did not wish to submit it separately lest it be accused of being an unnecessary paper, as he thought the description was important.
