Not recommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. The paper does not provide a significant advance in knowledge. The section on the effect of temperature does contain novel material. If the earlier sections of the paper were condensed or omitted the paper might be suitable for the Proceedings. Suggests seeking an additional opinion from William Cawthorne Unwin.
