Description

Suggests the author write a short introduction for the paper, and minor edits and modifications to the rest of the paper. Some of the figures require renumbering. James Henry Cotterill has suggested an alteration of the title, to omit reference to the Osborne Reynolds method, as the method used is really that of Gustave-Adolphe Hirn. The author has not interpreted this request in the same way as the correspondent, so will request clarification from the referee.
