Referee's report by William Huggins, on a paper 'Comparative photographic spectra of stars to the 3½ magnitude' by Frank McClean

Reference number: RR/13/222

Date: 21 April 1897

Description

He would recommend the paper for publication in Philosophical Transactions if it did not need more than one or two plates. The author wants seventeen plates to be included, will will come at great expense. The Committee should decide what to do in terms of expense. It would not be unfair to ask the author to fund part of the reproduction of plates himself.
