Letter from Henry Martyn Taylor, to John William Strutt, 3rd Baron Rayleigh, regarding a paper 'On a graphical representation of the twenty-seven lines on a cubic surface' by Henry Martyn Taylor
Reference number: RR/12/46
Date: 16 October 1893
Description
Returns the referee reports. 'I am not up in the ways of the Royal Society: but I know they are a body which insists on strict observance of rules'. Asks if the paper must be returned with alterations clearly marked. One referee's name was clearly visible, despite attempted redaction, 'luckily he did not say any thing which was likely to hurt anyone's feelings'.
