Description

Supplies some points on the paper, which is possible would like submitted to the Committee. Before submitting the paper, had communicated the results to Ernest William Hobson, who advised that the results should be sent to the Royal Society. Refers to George Howard Darwin, who communicated the physical problem to the author. Some of the results have already been published as an abstract in the Proceedings. The full manuscript submitted and refused by the Royal Society contained proofs and tables referred to in the abstract, which will not now be seen if unpublished. Asks if a concise paper could be printed, so as to provide the results referred to in the abstract.
