Returns Alexander William Williamson's letter, and thanks him for the suggestions, but declines to adopt the suggestions for the end of the paper, and has sent references to papers explaining why. Wishes for Alexander William Williamson to receive the explanatory note as soon as possible, as he [William Ramsay] is standing for his [Alexander William Williamson's] chair.
