The manuscript is ready for re-submission, asks is he will take the paper to the Royal Society if convenient. Has written a short explanatory note for the referees, explaining the modifications. Herbert Rix has the original drawings. Discusses the kitchen garden. Provides new address for William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin.
