Description

Company of Apothecaries of London had established a physic garden in 1673. Sloane had granted them part of his estate and manor of Chelsea on condition that it would be kept by the Company as a physic garden. As evidence of this, the Company were asked to present 50 specimens of plants annually which had been grown there in the previous year.
The catalogue was presented by Isaac Rand and Mr Meres
