36 manuscript pages and five plates of unpublished watercolour illustrations of light passing through crystals. This is a draft version of the paper and illustrations located at PT/8/11. A note at the top of this paper indicates that Brewster was advised to submit the paper without coloured illustrations, and all illustrations are marked 'Withdrawn'.
