Plate 16, figure 4 showing a plexus of blood vessels located between the surface of the cornea and the conjunctiva. Inscribed with title, publication, and plate details. A thin covering sheet reads 'No. 17' in ink recto; description of plate verso. Signed in ink bottom right 'H. Holmes. Dec 5. 1840.' Embossed stamp in top left corner reads 'Dobbs London'.
