Description

Plate 13, figures 1-6 and an unpublished figure (labelled here as figure 6) showing parts of the nervous system of the Sphinx ligustri in a pupa state and the Chrysomela tenebricosa [Timarcha tenebricosa; bloody-nosed beetle] in larva and adult states. Inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left 'G Newport del 1833'. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'On the nervous system of the Sphinx ligustri, Linn., (Part II.) during the latter stages of its pupa and its Imago state; and on the means by which its development is effected' by George Newport.
