Unpublished illustration showing five figures of spinal vertebrae, inscribed in pencil 'NB This drawing was cancelled, and another substituted for it! T.C.' [Taylor Combe]. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed 'Mr H. Earle 28 George St. Hanover Square [London]'. Royal Society stamp verso. Watermarked 'Slade'. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'On the mechanism of the spine' by Henry Earle.

Read to the Royal Society on 25 April 1822.
