Plate 12 showing a side view of the skull of a dugong [Dugong dugon] with a section of the tusk, both from a Sumatran specimen provided by Thomas Stamford Raffles. With a copy figure of a dugong skull after Georges Cuvier. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left 'W. H. Clift del.' Royal Society stamp verso.
