Description

Plate 9, figures 3-6 showing external and internal views of a pig's ovaries during and after a sow's pregnancy. The figures were rearranged from the vertical layout in this original plate to horizontal pairings in the published version, with the addition of two other figures. The work is inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed lower left 'Franz Bauer.' Royal Society stamp verso.

Read to the Royal Society on 14 January 1819.
