Description

Plates 13-14 containing eight figures distributed over three pages showing the overall construction and several details of vessels, tubes, collars and joints. The sketches are inscribed above with publication and plate details. There is a brief note on page 2, 'Figure 5 at (a b c) is much too large but I have not time to correct or improve it'. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso. Watermark '1807'.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'On a new construction of a condenser and air-pump. In a letter to Sir Humphry Davy, LL .D. F. R. S' by Gilbert Austin.

Read to the Royal Society on 11 March 1813.
