Description

Plate 8, figure 1 showing the lamina [nerve fibres] on the lens of a cod eye, with the fibres traced to two poles. Inscribed with publication and plate details. Faint [erased?] pencil inscription reads 'This part will require disinct improving'. Signed in ink bottom left, 'R. K. Greville delt.'

Subject: Zoology / Anatomy

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'On the anatomical and optical structure of the crystalline lenses of animals, particularly that of the cod' by David Brewster.

Received by the Royal Society on 21 March 1833. Read 9 May 1833.
