Plate 11, figure 1 showing the under part of the lower jaw and throat of an alligator, indicating the openings of the musk glands. Inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed in ink bottom left 'Canton ad nat: del:'. Royal Society stamp verso. Embossed stamp verso in top right corner reads 'Bristol Paper'. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.

Published in volume 117 of Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'On the structure and use of the submaxillary odoriferous gland in the genus crocodilus' by Thomas Bell.
