Plate 4, figures 1-5 showing details of the umbilical cord of a human both intact and unravelled, highlighting the external membrane, nerves, and amnion. Figures 1-3 and 5 are magnified 4x; figure 4 is magnified 10x. Inscribed with publication and plate details. Signed in ink lower left 'Franz Bauer del.' Royal Society stamp verso. Embossed stamp in top left corner reads 'Bristol Paper'. The manuscript for this paper is wanting.
