Plate 29, figures 1-4 showing a portion of the cortical and medullary substance of the human brain having been frozen and thawed, pictured at various levels of magnification. Figure 4 showing a pullet's egg after impregnation, magnified x10, is pasted onto the sheet on which figures 1-3 are painted. Inscribed with publication and plate details. A pencil inscription in the bottom right reads 'For Sir E [Everard] Home's paper no XIX'. Signed in ink in bottom left, 'Franz Bauer del:'. Embossed stamp in bottom right corner showing a crown and 'Parsons'. Royal Society stamp verso.

Published in Philosophical Transactions as part of paper titled 'Microscopical observations on the materials of the brain, and of the ova of animals, to show the analogy that exists between them' by Everard Home.
