Description

The third of three volumes containing the manuscript versions of papers published by the Royal Society in volume 140 of Philosophical Transactions in 1850. This volume comprises papers XXIX-XXXVIII.

The volume also includes some original illustrations and figures in drawn in ink in support of the papers.

Missing from this volume are manuscripts for the following papers:
'Sequel to a paper on the reduction of the thermometrical observations made at the apartments of the Royal Society' by James Glaisher; and
'Supplementary observations on the diffusion of liquids' by Thomas Graham.
