Description

The first of three volumes containing the manuscript versions of papers published by the Royal Society in volume 140 of Philosophical Transactions in 1850. This volume comprises papers I-XIV.

The volume also includes some original illustrations and figures in drawn in ink in support of the papers.

Missing from this volume is the manuscript for the following paper:
'On the automatic registration of magnetometers, and meteorological instruments, by photography.—No. III' by Charles Brooke.
