Description of use of sundial, for time-keeping and astronomical purposes. Signed 'Brother Charles Webb, Fraire [sic] Reculois Anglois... Order of St Francis' - likely member of the order of the Franciscan order of the Recollets established in colonial Trois-Rivieres, New-France [Quebec, Canada]. New France had become English two years prior and the British authorities would bannish the order ten years later.
