Autograph letter signed by sender. Is ready to hear that he is to have a visit from Willie Herschel. Regrets he cannot entertain friends as he used to. Has been laid up with ill-health. Would like information on how to prepare a chemical precipitate as that forming the sun's surface. Warren de La Rue has written to him.
