Description

Autograph letter signed by sender. Thomas Cooke of York, a maker of object glasses, is about to visit Paris and would like an introduction from John Frederick William Herschel in order to visit the Paris Observatory. Hopes John Frederick William Herschel's son is back at Collingwood. Own health is poor, but is improving.
