Description

Autograph letter signed by sender. Is dismayed that Thomas Maclear is unable to obtain manual assistance at the Cape for the compensating bars. Bars were shipped on Friday. Next time John Frederick William Herschel passes the Admiralty he will show him the debris of the actinometer.
