Description

Copy of draft letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Has no means of knowing what course the University of Cambridge will take in the event of the resignation of James Challis. Hopes that Richard Carrington will not cease from his astronomical labors.
