Description

Copy of draft letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Is deeply affected by the news of the death of Francis Baily, and also at the news that he is to receive £1,000 under the terms of the will. Hopes to put it to a use of which Baily would have approved.
