Description

Copy of letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Will write [J.-B.] Biot, but does not know to which enquiries Biot wishes John Frederick William Herschel to respond. Also wants to thank Biot for his kindness. S.-D. Poisson in a statement before the Academie des sciences has misdescribed John Frederick William Herschel's planned voyage.
