Description

Copy of draft letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Copies of the Eloge, which Jean Baptiste Joseph Fourier sent, are still at the Customs house so he is unable to comment on it. A list of his father's works is to be found in the Index to the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society Gives a list of all the discoveries and inventions of his father.
