Copy of letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Has executed all of Charles Babbage's commissions. Hopes to meet Charles Shadwell when in town. Is in the throes of exams. Thinking of taking up mathematics. Relates further chemical experiments.
