Copy of letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. Asks Adam Sedgwick to send him plagiedral quartz for experimentation. Unable to commence Cornish expeditions with Charles Babbage. Requests Adam Sedgwick discuss publication of their [John Frederick William Herschel's, George Peacock's, and Babbage's] book with Peacock.
