Description

Note comparing the dates in the lunar tables from the American Nautical Almanac to John Herschel's notations. Preamble with sources and general reflection, then reckoning of number of days lapsed according to old style and new style for commencement of the 19th century. eclipse of Thales, 1850 and 1866. Has been attributed to John Russell Hind in pencil annotation at the top.
