Autograph letter signed by sender. Cannot answer John Frederick William Herschel's question about electricity in heavy showers. Observations were discontinued years ago. Refers to Francis Ronalds's past experiments. Cites 1849 B.A.A.S. Rep. for map of storm observations. Notes changes in polarity of electricity during storms.
