Description

Autograph letter signed by sender. Tyndall wrote to her aunt Lady Gordon about obtaining permission to see the letters written by her husband, Professor C Tyndall to Sir John Herschel for 'biographical purposes'. Gordon informed Tyndall, Colonel Herschel is the custodian of family papers and suggested she write directly to him, and ask permission to see the letters.
