Description

Copy letter in John Herschel's hand, note at the back on central fold "to R.I. Murchison Esq. June 20/28. about correction of an Error in the Morning Post", from a personal filing system. Has read Roderick Impey Murchison's note to the Morning Post correcting error in the report on the dinner [in John Frederick William Herschel's honor]. Wishes money had not been mentioned in Roderick Impey Murchison's reply. Is grateful for all Roderick Impey Murchison's work in arranging for the dinner.
