Autograph letter signed by sender. Is grateful for his valuable remarks on the various projections of the sphere. Thinks the projection devised by John Frederick William Herschel to be well suited for isothermal lines. Has constructed a chart of the polar regions for the same purpose. Will try John Frederick William Herschel's projection.
