Thanks for being proposed for election to the Fellowship; regrets that his letter on magnetic variation did not arrive but that he can make a copy from notes taken by Henry Justel (see EL/P1/5 and EL/P1/6 for this); concerning his instrument for measuring the diameters of planets has been printed in the 'Journal des Scavans'
