Concerning the plague in London - that Southwark was not an affected area; concerning anti-Cartesian discourses from the College of Clermont - discussion outlined (in Latin); news from John Beale that Kufler, a Dutchman, put fireworks in the naval fight; Beale also has a very large diamond made from black flint by a chemist, and that the spirit of wine is sealed in a thermometer; experiments with lettuce seeds; concerning political events - that the English fleet has gone back to sea under Prince Rupert
