Description

Sends a copy of a manuscript and also a printed paper about the present comet by Cassini; transcribes an extract from a letter with observations of the comet; transcribes an extract from a letter by Steno stating that he was going to write to Oldenburg about his paper on the origin of shells, molluscs and fossil teeth, and mentioning a controversial experiment which was practiced by him in Leyden, Paris and Florence (see EL/M1/46 for details)
