Offers his thoughts, based on his 'Apodictical Improvement of Schools', that those who govern should take responsibility for scholarship. He asks the Royal Society to pass on his letter and book to Charles II.
Henry Oldenburg endorsed the letter: 'A Letter written to ye R Society by Dr Leichner of Erfurt about the Amendments to be made in Schooles, for the better improvement of knowledge'
