Letter addressed to the Governor of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Belcher, Martha Guerrish sends observations of recent parhelia (mock suns) in New England which the author wanted written in a male hand in the hope that it would be accepted (see EL/G2/38 for details of the parhelia).
Likely by Martha Foxcroft Gerrish (1688-1736) of Massachussetts.
