From de la Grive dated 18 January 1734 - wishes to be elected to the Fellowship and discusses his work with Cassini, which was to measure perpendicular to the meridian of the observatory at Paris to St Malo, with its conclusion to be sent to the Royal Society
Letters from Cassini and Fontenelle, dated 2 and 19 January 1734 respectively, are letters of recommendation for de la Grive
