Autograph letter
De Cocherel provides information about a person who has increased the firing range of a cannon and about a person's theory for determining longitude by astronomical observations. De Cocherel asks if the Royal Society is willing to purchase either of these ideas. He also asks for a map of Jamaica
Oldenburg has written a note on the back of the letter about sea-thrushes and sea-larks found between Ireland and Scotland
