Description

Brown sends an insect, which he cannot identify, to the Royal Society from a pond in Kent

On reverse is a note that Mr Klein had sent a figure and description of a similar insect found in East Prussia in November 1729 and read to the Royal Society on 18 June 1730 which he calls 'scolopendra aquatica scutata'
