Beale transcribes a letter from his nephew Smith, who informs his uncle about the good husbandry practices he has seen whilst travelling. Concerning carriages, different types of plough, a winnowing instrument, an engine to cut up roots and to break stones; gardening tools such as a hoe and rattle to frighten birds (some figures in text)
