Description

Bottoni's book printed in Messina in 1718. Gives an historical account of the violent earthquakes which happened in the Kingdom of Sicily in 1693, 1694, and 1717. Also offers 'philosophical digressions' (natural history) on the causes and effects of the earthquakes. Paper read to the Royal Society on 19 November 1724.
