A subject-based hierarchical classification scheme for a library, showing seven overarching headings which are each split into more detailed subject headings. The seven main headings are 'Dictionaries and books subsidiary', 'Bookes of naturall philosophy', 'Bookes of arts liberall', 'Bookes of arts illiberal and purely mechanick', 'Bookes treating of the universe', 'Bookes of [oeconomy, gymnasticks and military]' and 'Bookes of [pneumaticks and magick]'.
