Description

Fouquet, a Jesuit and Bishop from Eleutheropolis [Bayt Jibrin] explains a new chronological table of Chinese history, collected from two accounts; one sent from Rome by Thomas Dereham to the Royal Society and the other sent from Father Fouquet to Father Eustache Guillemeau, a Barnalite at Paris and by him transmitted to Hans Sloane. Original table and engraved table from Philosophical Transactions showing Chinese year letters and hour letters is attached.
