Description
Benevoli, surgeon in the Hospital of St Maria Nova in Florence [Italy], describes the dissection of two eyes that had been subjected to cataract operations during the individual's lifetime in order to examine more closely the effect of the operation on the eyes. The account was originally printed in Italian in Florence in 1722.
